South Beach might be getting a new park, with Restaurants, Retail and Residential units

A new park may be arriving in Miami Beach, Sunset Park, as the project will be known, was submitted for approval by Miami Beach’s Planning Board. The project of more than 50,000 square feet will include five floors of retail, residential and parking.

If approved, the park will be built in Sunset Harbor on .77 acres that now accommodates buildings slated for demolition and empty lots.

The commercial space totalizes 18,292 square feet; two restaurants and two cafes are already on the plans with 100 seats each. 12 residential units are also proposed on the third, fourth and fifth floors.

The project designed by Domo Architecture + Design, with developer Deco Capital, will face review by the Planning Board on October 23.
