Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum: closings starting next week

One Thousand Museum Residences, by the late Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid, obtained its temporary certificate of occupancy; closings will start as early as next week, as per developers announcement.

The developers Louis Birdman, Gilberto Bomeny, Gregg Covin and Kevin Venger, along with Hadid, broke ground on the 62-story, 84-unit condo tower in December 2014.

The developers are now trying to score a $331 million condo inventory loan for the building, they even consulted Lotus Capital Partners, as The Real Deal recently informed. Offers were due in mid-June.

The project, Hadid’s first and final residential condo tower in the western hemisphere, is recognized by its exoskeleton, which incorporates 4,800 precast panels built in Dubai and dispatched to Miami. The intricate construction was featured on PBS’ “Impossible Builds” series.

The tower is at least 60 percent sold, according to multiple reports. Amongst the amenities, the building will include a rooftop helipad, an off-site beach club, a wellness center with a gym and yoga facilities, relaxation pods and spa rooms, a sky lounge, a multimedia theater, and 8 Juice Bar by the Raw Republic.
