Miami: City is adding close to 7,000 new apartments in 2019, more than any other city in the U.S.

The city of Miami is getting 6,989 new apartments by the end of 2019, ranking the city at the top in the United States for new apartment construction, said Rentcafe’s latest statistics.

The total of new units is more than double if you compare with the amount delivered last year, only 3,148.

Miami is unique, as the opposed to other cities in the country since most new apartment construction are centered in the urban core (generally within the city limits).

While the Miami Metro area has a total of 13,031 apartments expected to 2019, ranking fourth among metro areas nationwide.
